Welcome

Welcome to Radio Systems Laboratory (RSL) website. RSL is committed to conduct advanced research in the following fields:

  • Radio propagation modeling and measurements for modern wireless systems
  • EM field analysis and optimization techniques
  • Ultrawideband (UWB) radio applications
  • RF/Microwave component design (passive and active components in upper range of radio frequencies)
  • Radio applications for short range wireless systems (particularly physical layer issues)
System level design issues for wireless and mobile radio systems
  • Remote radio system laboratory applications

RSL is looking for possible research collaborations in the following areas:

  • Radio interface and Physical layer issues of UWB communication systems, being particularly specialized and having very good facilities in the design of UWB antennas and measurement of channel characteristics
  • Applications of RFID, including both hardware and software design issues in broad range of frequencies (UHF to microwave), having an ongoing RFID project for the visually impaired.
  • Theoretical and experimental radio propagation modeling and measurements for new generation systems (3G and beyond), having setups for indoor propagation measurements in different bands (UHF to mmWave)
  • Distance learning and particularly remote laboratory applications based on ICT tools
